The History of Chocolate


"Chocolate" Was discovered (1100BC) in the rain forests of America , it was the time when it was introduced to the people the use of cacao. The evidence found indicates that the earliest use of cacao seem to have been as an alcoholic beverage. In (460-480A.D.) the first people to have made cacao seeds a spicy and frothy beverage were the ancient cultures of Mexico and Central America. These people were the Maya's and the Aztec's.

Later the Spanish brought the seed back to Spain and new recipes where created. And as time passes by the drink where introduced and spread throughout Europe. And eventually technology and innovations were applied to the texture and taste of chocolate and until now it is still the number one world's favorite flavor.

The health benefits of chocolate in the body are often asked by millions of people. Where in fact is that a very large volume of high quality dark chocolate would need to be eaten for these benefits to take effect.

  • Boosting Immunity: There are two kinds of flavoring present in chocolate, these are the Cate chins and Epicatechins. Chocolate has more Catechins, wich boosts the human body immune system and helps prevent the risk of having chronic ailments.
  • Lowers Cholesterol levels: Chocalates have benn madicaly proven to reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the human body significantly, up to 10/12 percentage.
  • Good for Anemic Condition: The flavonoids compounds are useful in treating anemic patients and those having poor dietary habits.
  • Rich in Antioxidants: Chocolates is a potent anti-oxidants, these antioxidants actually gulp up free moving radicals and other dangerous molecules that maybe potential health hazard.
  • Healthy Heart: Little in take of Dark chocolate boosts the heart because it contains alot of poly phenols and antioxidants thats very good for the heart.
  • Cures Depression: The Serotonin level in the chocolate can act as an effective anti-depressant. Thes chocolate contains alot of Serotonin, wich has the qualities of anti-depressant.
